Founded in 1976, Fai Filtri is a healthy Italian company with its headquarters located in Pontirolo Nuovo (BG). It manufactures parts and filters for the aftermarket, hydraulics, discharge machining, air/oil separation and industrial plant engineering fields.
DESCRIBE
DSP series: in-box revolving for air/oil separators. In the assembly line, suitable for air/oil separation on rotary and vane compressors, with no extra cost for pressure vessels.
FDS series: rotary, in-line oil/air separator, suitable for air/oil separation on rotary and vane compressors, while allowing the user to save on pressure vessel costs.
The peculiarity of the DSP and FDS oil and gas separators is that they can be easily replaced, with a quick and clean process that does not require any specific equipment, in all possible situations.

Longevity
The filter must be replaced when a differential pressure drop (DP) of 1-1.2 bar is reached. Market studies have shown that an average lifespan of several thousand working hours can be achieved under normal working conditions. The increased pressure drop and, consequently, the reduced service life can affect the quality.

Working principle
The compressed air is contaminated by microscopic oil droplets and solid particles, which flow through the first layer of reinforced glass microfibers, causing the microscopic oil droplets in the compressed air to be less than 1 micron in diameter, resulting in agglomerate into larger droplets.
They are then captured and drained by a second and final layer of porous synthetic material, by gravity, on the dry side of the separator.
APPLICATION OF OIL FILTER
Thanks to the oil separation filter, the compressed air out of the air compressor into the user system contains a negligible amount of oil. The amount of oil retained in the air compressor performs a circulation cycle to cool the air compressor head and cool it down in the oil cooler.
